Shenzhen Fourth People's Hospital (Samii Medical Center) and Lachesis have signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Based on their respective professional resources and strengths, and driven by new quality productive forces, the two parties will deeply integrate emerging technologies such as big data, 5G, AI, and the Internet of Things with medical scenarios, building a high-level medical service hub in eastern Shenzhen and providing a new paradigm for high-level smart hospital development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and nationwide.

Supported by the medical Internet of Things, the hospital starts from four dimensions—medical care, nursing, patients, and management—to build a well-functioning ward operation system featuring information sharing, business collaboration, safety, reliability, and standardized specifications. It enables real-time information interaction, real-time monitoring, autonomous analysis, intelligent early warning, and intervention, thereby ensuring medical safety, improving medical quality, and enhancing clinical service capabilities.




Through process optimization and technological upgrading, the hospital provides effective means for intelligent clinical diagnosis, treatment and nursing, smart medical services, and ward quality control management. During hospitalization, patients wear a unique identification code. Medical-grade smart devices continuously monitor various patient indicators. Real-time AI data analysis, based on the knowledge base, issues alerts at different levels to medical and nursing staff, enabling early intervention and reducing the risk of patient deterioration.




Based on different clinical business scenarios, medical and nursing staff can complete ward rounds, information inquiries, and data entry at the patient's bedside, effectively reducing trips between wards and the nurses' station or offices. This greatly improves work efficiency, returns medical staff's time to patients, and provides patients with smart services such as bedside diagnosis and treatment, remote consultation, ward rounds, nursing, health education, and settlement.

During infusion, nurses can remotely monitor the infusion status in the ward. Ultra-micro gravity sensors monitor the remaining fluid volume, remaining time, and infusion drip rate in real time. They provide timely alarms for abnormal infusion conditions and reminders when infusion is about to finish, so nurses can proactively replace the bottle or remove the needle, making patients and their families feel more at ease.




In sudden emergencies, the closed-loop patient emergency care runs through key links such as graded triage, resuscitation, and observation, achieving seamless connection with inpatient wards. The intelligent resuscitation system makes clinical rescue efficient and orderly, and automatically records the resuscitation process.

After resuscitation, the system quickly checks inventory, improving nurses' work efficiency and the management quality of emergency carts. Managers can also remotely manage intelligent emergency carts throughout the hospital, conducting quality control in terms of quantity, management quality, and usage status, helping build an intelligent three-tier emergency care system.

Covering multiple hospital pharmacy scenarios such as specialized outpatient clinics, inpatient pharmacies, and ward pharmacies, the system uses information technologies such as big data, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things to leverage various data resources for scientific decision-making. It implements traceable and refined management of drug application, allocation, storage, dispensing, verification, distribution, and use, making drug sources traceable, destinations trackable, and responsibilities ascertainable. This meets policy and regulatory requirements, ensures drug supply and use safety, improves quality and efficiency, reduces operating costs, and supports lean hospital management.

In specialized outpatient visits, the time spent queuing for medication is one of the main issues affecting patient experience. The smart pharmacy soon to be launched in the hospital's respiratory medicine department will support patients in self-service medicine pickup by scanning their prescriptions, realizing automatic dispensing, intelligent verification, and rapid distribution of boxed drugs, injections, tablets, and other medicines. The smart pharmacy equipment complies with GSP management standards, with real-time temperature and humidity monitoring, and can meet the specific storage management requirements of commonly used respiratory medicines such as asthma inhalers and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) treatments. The entire medicine pickup process is guided and announced by voice, and a medication guidance sheet is automatically generated at the end, ensuring safe and rational drug use. It will promote the improvement of hospital pharmaceutical management and service levels, and further improve patients' medicine pickup experience and satisfaction.
