Exploring the New Frontier of "AI + Medicine": Lachesis Invited to Attend the Academic Symposium of the Medical Informatics Branch of Guangdong Medical Association

Jun-29, 2026

To build an academic exchange platform in the fields of medical informatics and artificial intelligence, and to explore the practical applications and future directions of AI technology in healthcare, on February 3, the "AI + Medicine" Academic Symposium (Shenzhen Station) of the Medical Informatics Branch of Guangdong Medical Association, hosted by the Branch and organized by the Eighth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, was successfully held. Hospital administrators, experts, and scholars in medical informatics and AI from within and outside the city attended the event. Zhou Yi, Chairman of the Medical Informatics Branch of Guangdong Medical Association; Ren Nanzheng, Head of Futian District Medical Information Center; and Li Jianlin, Vice President of the Eighth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, attended the symposium and delivered speeches.

In the keynote speech session, experts presented shares that combined depth and practical value.

Zhongshan School of Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University

Professor Zhou Yi

Professor Zhou Yi, under the title "Current Status and Prospects of Medical Artificial Intelligence", systematically reviewed the development process, macro policies, application status, and technological breakthroughs of AI in the medical field.

Eighth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University

Vice President Li Jianlin

Vice President Li Jianlin, focusing on "Development and Application of an Intelligent Disease Coding System Based on Large Language Models", shared the technical pathways, key breakthroughs, and implementation practices of the AI intelligent coding system developed at the Eighth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University.

Information Data Center, The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University

Director Yu Junrong

Director Yu Junrong, focusing on "Systematic Construction Ideas and Practices of Smart Hospitals", elaborated on the core logic and implementation experience of the smart hospital system in serving clinical care, patients, and management.

Guangzhou Medical University Affiliated Women and Children’s Medical Center

Chen Changmao, Engineer, Information Data Center

Through specific practical cases, he introduced "The Practice of Artificial Intelligence Technology in Women’s and Children’s Hospitals", demonstrating the unique value of AI technology in specialized medical scenarios.

Shenzhen Lachesis Mhealth Co., Ltd.

Yin Qianfeng, AI Scientist

Focusing on "From 'Automation' to 'Autonomy': Reconstructing Smart Healthcare Interaction Based on Multimodal Perception and Embodied Intelligence", he discussed the development, applications, opportunities, and challenges of related technologies from the perspectives of multimodal perception and intelligent reconstruction.

In terms of multimodal perception fusion, Lachesis’s in-hospital smart devices have integrated multidimensional sensors such as vision, voice, and touch, enabling real-time capture and comprehensive analysis of patient behavior, vital signs, and environmental information; based on large language models and world model technologies, the clinical decision support system is gradually evolving into an "AI Clinical Brain" with deep reasoning and clinical knowledge generalization capabilities, and is being integrated into the embodied intelligence ecosystem.

Finally, Chairman Zhou Yi summarized the symposium. He stated that the conference had rich content, with experts’ presentations covering multiple key areas of AI + healthcare, and that in the future we should continue to promote the deep integration of AI and medicine. The successful holding of this academic symposium further consolidated industry consensus and clarified the development direction of smart healthcare.

This symposium intensively showcased advanced practices and frontier thinking in the "AI + Medicine" field, built a high-level dialogue platform for cross-institutional collaboration and interdisciplinary exchange, and injected new intellectual impetus and practical directions for promoting the digital and intelligent transformation of healthcare.
