Intelligence Empowers the Future, Ecosystem Thrives Together | PKU Shenzhen Hospital and Lachesis Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement, Nationally Launch Unattended Care Intelligent Agent "Bei Xiao Hu"
Date:2025/12/07

On December 7th, the Fifth China (Shenzhen) Smart Hospital Forum, themed "Intelligence Empowers the Future, Ecosystem Thrives Together," officially commenced. The forum was hosted by the Shenzhen Hospital Association and jointly organized by Peking University Shenzhen Hospital (hereafter referred to as "PKU Shenzhen Hospital") and the Shenzhen PKU-HKUST Medical Center.

Lachesis was invited to participate and exhibited its integrated solutions for Smart Wards, Smart Pharmacies, and Smart Operating Rooms.

Renowned Experts Gather to Explore New Ideas for AI Smart Hospital Development

The forum gathered distinguished guests including Qiao Jie, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Executive Vice President of Peking University; Cai Xiujun, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and President of Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine; Wu Hongyan, Secretary of the Shenzhen Municipal Health Working Committee, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, and Director of the Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission; as well as renowned experts, scholars, and healthcare industry leaders from institutions such as the Chinese Hospital Association, Peking University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Qilu Hospital of Shandong University, National University Hospital Singapore, and the Shenzhen Hospital Association.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) hospital construction is a key engine driving high-quality hospital development. Centering on the theme "Intelligence Empowers the Future, Ecosystem Thrives Together," participants shared innovative practices in smart hospital development, optimization of medical resource allocation under the multi-campus hospital model, insights from Singapore's pharmacy automation for domestic healthcare reform, and more. They also engaged in in-depth discussions on hot topics such as challenges in AI healthcare applications, the transformative potential of multimodal large models in scenarios like disease early warning, the capabilities, limitations, and risk governance of medical AI, and new pathways for smart hospital construction.

Hospital-Enterprise Collaboration: Jointly Creating a New Smart Hospital Ecosystem

During the forum, PKU Shenzhen Hospital and Lachesis formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Both parties will jointly promote the deep integration of information technology and healthcare, foster interdisciplinary collaboration between medicine and engineering as well as industry-academia-research innovation, accelerate the application and implementation of domestically developed technologies, support hospitals in their digital and intelligent transformation and upgrading, and work together to build a new digital-intelligent medical ecosystem, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of Shenzhen's healthcare sector and medical industry.

Nationwide Debut: The Unattended Care Intelligent Agent "Bei Xiao Hu"

Currently, China is actively promoting pilot programs for "Unattended Care Services." As one of the first pilot units for "Unattended Care Wards" in Guangdong Province, building upon nearly a decade of experience in smart ward development and integrating panoramic clinical care data from 158,000 patients over the past three years, PKU Shenzhen Hospital, in collaboration with Lachesis, has jointly developed and launched the country's first Unattended Care Intelligent Agent—"Bei Xiao Hu."

Leveraging large AI model technology and through a system architecture of "1 core intelligent engine + 4 types of terminals + 1 management platform," "Bei Xiao Hu" establishes a closed-loop collaborative model of "nurse-led, healthcare aide-executed, patient-involved, nurse quality-controlled." It achieves full-process closed-loop management from condition assessment, plan generation, task execution, and risk warning to family connection and quality control, reshaping the attendant service model. It promotes more precise specialized nursing decisions, more efficient healthcare aide services, a more assured patient experience, and greater peace of mind for families, effectively addressing the caregiving dilemma of "one person hospitalized, the whole family burdened."

A Decade of Cultivation: Jointly Painting a New Vision for AI Smart Healthcare

As a key segment of the forum, attending representatives conducted on-site visits to 12 smart healthcare stations established by PKU Shenzhen Hospital, immersing themselves in a new paradigm of full-scenario digital-intelligent healthcare covering pre-consultation, during-consultation, and post-consultation stages.

Behind these achievements lies nearly a decade of persistent dedication and collaborative innovation between PKU Shenzhen Hospital and Lachesis in the field of smart wards. From early explorations in intelligent nursing and the construction of hospital-wide IoT and smart ward data platforms to the current application of AI agents, both parties have progressively built a patient-centered, data-driven, process-reengineered smart hospital demonstration system.

In the future, Lachesis will continue to collaborate with PKU Shenzhen Hospital, deepen hospital-enterprise cooperation, jointly expand the innovative boundaries of smart healthcare, and empower hospitals towards high-quality development.
